We treat every customer like a VIP! When you come in for your portrait session, we’ll offer you a coffee or bottled water, a private dressing area, and our undivided attention. We’ll work with you to create the photos you envision, as well as some ideas you may not have had! After we’ve finished retouching your images you’ll come back in for your ordering session, first we’ll sit down to a slideshow of your images, then you’ll get a chance to order prints of your favorites!

Our Turnaround

Many photographers have as much as a one-month turnaround time! We strive to get your photos fully retouched in one week (Seasonal volume may slow this down, but it’s still our goal!). Then, after you order your prints they will be back in the studio for you to pick up later that week (Except Wall Art: i.e. Gallery Wraps & Metal Prints)

We would never put you in the position of having to find a good printer! We work with an established print lab, with over 47 years of experience! They help us provide you with lightning-fast turnaround, and amazing products like

About a week ago the lovely Kayla Lucas came by our studio for some modelling shots, so we could put the place through it’s paces! Kayla brought some great outfits and a great attitude, making for a very fun shoot!

Halloween Harvest- Model Shoot

Sometimes as a photographer you just get to have fun! I got the chance to go to the Halloween Harvest Model shoot (Put on by Loretta Kendall of Lip Gloss Studios), and met some very talented young models! These young ladies brought more costumes then some Halloween stores stock! Here’s a short preview of that shoot:

Brandon’s been burned!

Last week, Brandon approached me with a deal: a photo for a light stand. Sounds simple enough… Then he shows up dressed exactly like Michael Westen from “Burn Notice” on USA, toting with him a semi-auto machine pistol! I didn’t know whether to be excited or terrified LOL!

It’s with great pride I announce the cold-open period of the NEW Graceful Images Studio! After a month of building, decorating, marketing, and painting, our studio at 26 S Main St. in historic downtown Scottsburg, Indiana is OPEN! Though we haven’t had a ribbon-cutting or an open house (those are coming next month!), we’re open for business!

boo. Did I scare you?!?

The Instructor Highlights-

Dave Black!! Awesome guy, amazing photographer, and one of my biggest inspirations coming out of PSW this year. His class on sports photography resonated so deeply with me that I’m going out to shoot soccer for 3 of the next five nights!

Joel Grimes, went into his class expecting to learn about compositing and came out having learned what it means to be an artist

Jeremy Cowart taught us to ask and we shall receive… I feel like I heard that somewhere before

Jay Maisel. What else do I need to say? Spending an hour listening to the legend of street photography: Priceless

And Moose Peterson showed just how much fun aviation photography can be!

The photo highlight-

This year’s Westcott shootout booth was even better than last year’s!

These are just a few of the best ones I shot, the setups were great and the instructors (MJ Green, Eric Eggly, Jim Schmelzer, Erik Valind, Terry White & more!) were all helpful, showing us how to set up the lights, figure out exposures quickly, and how to interact with models.

One more bit of gush before I move on, Westcott’s new TD6 Spiderlites used to shoot these photos are fan-frickin-tastic. Gorgeous quality of light, they don’t get hot and best of all they’re always on so what you see is what you get!

The other highlights-

The Westcott shootout may be the highlight but the rest of the expo is pretty awesome too!

But, the absolute BEST thing about Photoshop World is the community feeling. Where else are going to be completely surrounded by photographers, retouchers, illustrators, and designers, for three whole days? Everyone (including instructors) is incredibly welcoming, it’s like a cool club where the only requirement is that you know about it. I spent a lot of time catching up with old friends (Hi Trish!), and made some new ones too!

Needless to say, I’m going back.
